Try the Last Sovereign, it's an RPG with military, economic and political stories. It will suck you in wanting to know more about the world while having a Harem that joins your group for differing motivation.
The other investigative type that I would recommend is Long Live the Princess. Really well done story!
I will admit my bias because I'm a patreon of NTRMAN but I adored his first big game, Adelaide Inn(Remake). Yeah it is an NTR game but it's done well, multiple paths to go down, multiple endings ranging from grisly and dark to slightly wholesome( if you would consider a wife being used as a sex toy then being princess carried away by her husband as wholesome.) And overall lots of great art and sex scenes that made the game better than most others. But I do love the list and I will admit you made all sound choices.
I was surprised that you included so many japanese games, I always got the feeling you were more of a western ero game type guy (as it is the kind given more spotlight in this newsletter).
And I am absolutely delighted to see Dohna Dohna soo high on the list. It is truly a masterpiece that we were truly blessed to get translated in such high quality fashion only a year after the original jp relase. I hope your newsletter helps give it more exposure so that the developers see there is a western market for their games.
Succubus connect is a game I have had my eyes for a while, and with your recommemdation I am definetively going to get it.
You're absolutely right about my focus on English-language lewd games because I still don't speak a lick of Japanese! However, what companies over there pump out is still *far* more considered and refined than what we get in the rest of the world, so I do have a soft spot for those games. I usually get by with a horrible machine translation or even by pointing my phone with Google Translate to my monitor to understand what the heck is going on.
I am also incredibly delighted to see such a high-quality release in English from Alicesoft only a year after their game came out in Japanese. It tells me that they *are* already taking the English-speaking market seriously!
