Hey there, naughty news fans!
I made a joke post on the ol’ Twitter about Steam’s latest update that makes it much easier to switch between accounts, and I inadvertently kicked a hornet’s nest. Now I want to ask you an important question:
Good arguments can be made for either case, so I’m excited to hear your thoughts!
And, oh geez, I only just realized that I’ve been publishing posts for the past few weeks with the comments turned off! No wonder it’s been so quiet in here!! I’ve turned them on for last week’s post now. Thanks, Substack…
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Yes, I do. After all, I believe "it's ok to be horny on main".
In all seriousness, I don't worry about people seeing me play NSFW games in my main (and only) Steam account since everyone I know on the internet knows what I do, and I always keep my IRL stuff and my internet stuff as separated as possible due to some unpleasant experiences I had growing up
Yes, I do. I'll come back to that, but let me mention some of the other categories of games I play on my main Steam account, because that adds context to my answer. I play A) sports management simulations, B) games initially released in Japan where localizers aren't permitted to start localizing the game until it is released - leading to delays of years for English releases, C) games from companies that release a lot of DLCs over the span of years, D) games that initially released too early and with many bugs, and E) crowdfunded games from small companies where the games didn't make enough money and the developers went out of business. All of those categories of games have completely toxic communities on Steam. When my Steam account was more public than it is now, I used to get random hate messages from other Steam users that I didn't know all the time because I posted a funny screenshot or a comment encouraging the developers. Valve always acted correctly by (temporarily?) banning those users when I reported them, but it was still a giant pain to have to deal with those other users. There is nothing people could say about me playing adult games that would be anywhere near as bad as the attacks I got for playing non-adult games in the categories I listed.
